CommentI would like to tell anyone that is or will be using this service to stop immediately and find another way to get your product.
My nightmare began one week after the date i ordered my product, not all of it had arrived. I contacted Tiger direct to ask what had happened to the rest of my order, well they didn't know so an investigation was launched. at the beginning of this investigation i was to receive a claim letter, well i didn't. no one contacted me about a claim letter for the whole of the investigation and then a couple of days latter after the investigation i found out about the claim letter by calling them to find out why it was taking so long, this is two-two1/2 weeks from the date i ordered. I sent the claim letter by email to a representative of tiger direct who was to then send the claim letter to the person organizing my reshipping, i was then to receive a phone call and email confirmation the following day that my reshipping was to begin. The next day no phone call, so I call them back and said that i will receive an update at the end of the week. The following week i call back and it turns out that my claim letter was never sent to the person organizing my reshipping. So week 3 and i finally am able to send the claim letter by email directly to the person it needed to go to.

After all this time wasted by incompetence when I should have been contacted and led to what I should do and what should be done, I have to wait another week while my items are being reshipped. I was told that it would be shipped as fast as possible to me after this grave mistake but I guess it doesn't matter to them that my time was waisted and that I was the one who had to call them to find out why things weren't being done.

So I advise all those that will use tiger direct to prepare for a horrible experience and a great deal of waisted time and effort.

CommentIt is easy to write a review when your order arrives complete and on time. However, if you have a problem, how good is the service?
My computer was delivered without a keyboard. I called TigerDirect and Abraheim @ EXT 5384 handled my call. When I described my problem he offered my a choice of available keyboards which were upgrades of the original. Before ending our conversation he gave me a tracking number. This experience will make me a return customer instead of a disgruntled one who would not buy again. Even though this was a small item it was handled in a efficient, professional manner. Good job!

CommentRecieved my computer case badly damage. Called right away, talked with Pat. He and his supervisior sent me out a new case right away, no questions ask. Upgraded the shipping so I would`nt be held up. Great customer service. Something that is hard to come by now days. Thanks TigerDirect.

Jean turned a situation around that made me very angry from another rep called David at x5804 who treated me like an imbecile or being evasive and not allowing me to speak to supervisor and hanging up on me. I called back and got a nice professional person named Jean X5390 who patiently listened to me and was able to sympathize with my situation and offered to help even when I first asked for a supervisor which he was willing to do but took care of the situation like a profession ought to…Thanks Jean

CommentI have been ordering from Tiger Direct for many years now, and have always been completely satisfied. Once, UPS misplaced an order of mine and it didn't show up till 10 days later, but hey, things happen and it was the only time there has been any issue, and this wasn't even Tiger's mistake. Products and prices rock, they beat everyone else. Customer service is awesome. I cannot recommend this company enough, they are my favority company for computer and electronic related purchases. Keep it up Tiger, you rock. I recommend you to everyone I know, and in my opinion, your company is as perfect as any can hope to be.

CommentFirst time using TigerDirect. Simple order: Printer Router. First, I rec'd a refurbished model -- not ordered but I thought it would be OK. Second, no installation CD in the box AND it was late arriving -- I guess that should be #3. When I called to ask for the CD so I could actually use the server, I was told that the only thing I could do was return the server for a refund(!) I thought it was interesting that they would rather lose my business (now and future) than just ship me an installation CD! Maybe they're just too big to give a rip?? I'll go out tomorrow and buy a server locally. Lesson learned.

CommentHaving ordered computer equipment from this company several times in the past I didn't hesitate to choose them when I needed stuff this time. I have had excellent results the times I have ordered from Tiger in the past so I was rather surprised when one of the pieces of equipment that I purchased didn't work. When I called to get a RMA number I spoke with a nice young lady name Mary (extension 5373). She was very helpful and quickly got things sorted out to allow me to return the defective equipment. I wanted to submit this review to commend Mary for her courteous and helpful response. I hope her bosses are reading this because she gets a big ATTAGIRL from this customer. Boss, go tell her she did good and give her a raise ( hey Mary, I tried, ya know ). Seriously, Tiger is a great company and in the rare occasion that there is a issue with an order they have very helpful and courteous support personnel.

CommentMe and my boyfriend want to thank Carlos at ext.5825. He was very helpful and went far and beyond for us. We have been trying to find out where our tv was for the past three days and after calling and talking to many people and getting nowhere we finally got Carlos. He called the freight company found out exactly where it was and what happened to it. Although it is damaged he is going to reorder us one. He is AWESOME!! Thanks again Carlos!!!

CommentThis is the first time I have ever dealt with this company but was referred by my boss so I thought I'd give it a try. I purchased a computer and unfortunately the keyboard & mouse did not work. Well I only had to make ONE QUICK phonecall, that's right just ONE call and spoke to ROSE S. @ Ext 5367 who informed me that they would replace the two items FREE OF CHARGE a term hardly heard of these days - but there it was!! CommentThis has been the worst purchase I have ever made,I have used Tiger Direct several times and always placed my order the same way on monday and always get my order by thursday or friday the same week, Well this order was done the same way placed on Monday By wendsday it begain to seem odd my order was not showing up in the UPS system using the track number sent to me by Tiger so I called tiger to see if there was a problem And thats when all the lies started first they said the item had been shipped (tuesday) but just had not shown up in the UPS system, So I called UPS to see if they had a problem And they said they did not have the package yet that it was not supposed to be picked up by them till latter that night (wendsday)that was why it was not in their system
And it was to be shipped UPS Basic so that made the delivery date sometime the first week of august So I called back Tiger to ask why they had changed the way the package was shipped and what they was going to do about me paying for regular ground shipping and they thought it was no big deal as they had my money at that point and did not care that I paid for regular groung shipping and needed the item by end of the week for a customer. So then I called back again to cancel the order and place my order else where and this Rose woman said my package was to be here Thursday and said if it was not she whould fix the problem. So thursday come around and I call UPS and they still tell me my package will not be here untill August the 5th So I called this Rose woman at Tiger and she will not answer or return my calls at all. Well I have made several purchase's from Tiger Direct over the past 7 years and some of them in the hundreds of dollars But after this I will take my bussiness to another Company. And this Rose woman was the major cause of this.Her emp number is 3054152205 and her EX is 5367 the ex is her's for sure but the number may be made up but this is what she gave me

CommentI ordered an Acer 22" LCD monitor on July 26TH and on the 28th Tiger dropped the price 10 dollars, I contacted Christopher Ext 5391 and he informed me about Tigers price guarantee, he credited my account for the difference, and needless to say I am a happy camper. I have been a satisfied customer for over 5 years and have always been more than satisfied with my purchases and intend to maintain the relationship.

I had called earlier in the day and one of your customer relations people actully just passed me off to IBM and others, gave me a false ext.# and was very not helpful. When I called back to complain, I got Rose S. ext. 5367 and she was WONDERFUL!! First she apologized for my earlier problems with your company and then went over and above to satify me. I have worked in Customer Relations my entire career, and Tiger Direct is very fortunate to have an employee like Rose S.

CommentSee order W3356897. I bought an external hard drive at the end of May. A few days later I received a damaged product (internal bracket in the case was smashed). I called TG and requested a refund. They issued me a return address UPS label and an RMA#. I took that label to the local UPS store and returned the item to TG along with a detailed letter explaining the defect and asking for a refund. After several days, I received a box from TG containing the SAME DEFECTIVE HARD DRIVE THEY SENT THE FIRST TIME. No apology letter, no mention of a refund, etc. The only correspondence was some bogus letter asking me to renew a domain name that I had not used in a couple of years. At this point, I was very frustrated, felt that I had fulfilled my responsibility as a customer and directed my credit card company to deny payment. After several weeks of no contact I received a letter from TG threatening me with a collections agency if I don’t pay (for a busted drive twice shipped). The letter contained a number with someone’s direct extension. I’ve tried calling that number 3 times, though I only get sent to someone's voicemail. I’ve left (very polite) messages all three times and no one returns my calls. As frustrated as I am, if I would be happy if TG would either send me non-damaged merchandise or refund my money, but I will not pay for an item that is broken.

CommentI successfully activated my OEM MS office software due to Mary's (ext 5373) help. The software was not installed properly so I called Customer Service on Sat, who told me I was suppose to call the Business office on Monday, so I waited till Monday and the person that answered the phone told me to delete the trial version that was supplied and go to MS website that was for the back up copy which did not have a link to the site you sent me. I called back again and they told me to call the Customer Service number, which I did and that person gave me the same link which I tried again to use to no avail. So once again, thank you. Only other problem was an error message on an Addin called BCM which I just went to the control panel and deleted.

CommentFirst time ordering over internet and Mike H (x5819) answered ALL questions (and there were plenty), took the time to look up one product I expressed reservations about explainint-when finished-I had no cause for worry because of Tiger standing behind their products, and slowly worked me through the ordering process.

When placed, the valid Debit card wouldn't authorize. He patients worked to find the error; turns out to have been not the card, but the processing of it was down temporarily.

He promised to continue to try each our during the wee hours of the morning and would advise--either way--what happened.

Awaking this morning, I had a Confirmation the transaction had gone thru, a Confirmation number, ship and expected delivery date.

VERY satisfactory transaction... can report back once product arrives in 3 business days.

WILL buy again and WILL seek out this Tiger sales rep, especially. He was patient, professional, followed thru, communicated as promised and made the process easy.

CommentHave ordered many times from Tiger. Their prices are good and the products have always arrived quickly. Did have a little problem with my last order which turned out to be a UPS problem not a Tiger problem. UPS lost track of the order for a few days. Had ordered a laptop. The delay turned out to be a blessing in disguise bacause I changed my mine on the laptop I wanted (just to really complicate things :) I worked with Ron C @ 5824 & Mike H @ 5819 and was able to get the laptop I really should have got to begin with. Ron & Mike were a pleasure to deal with. They got everything worked out and sent me a return label to print that night (my order had finally come) I was treated like I was Tiger's only customer.

Commenti called to place an order and was connected to michael h. ext (5819). instead of just taking my order and quickly moving on to the next customer, michael took his time with me to answer my many questions. i didn't feel like a statistic, rather i genuinely felt like my "call was important to" tigerdirect. a cliché that is commonly heard on many companies' voice mails but rarely experienced.

i have no idea who michael h. is except for this one phone call, but if all your salesforce is of this quality, you can't help but be tremendously successful with many satisfied customers.

for anyone reading this review, michael works the "graveyard" shift (8pm-5am eastern time-u.s.a.) as of july, 24, 2008. if you can, i highly recommend waiting to place your orders within that timeframe and call his ext. you won't be sorry!

CommentI heard some horror stories about TigerDirect, and the price on the APC UPS was too good to be true, but I decided to chance it. The order went through quickly, said it shipped, UPS status said "Billing Information Received." After no change for two days, I called. They said UPSs computers were having problems but the package was definitely in UPS's hands. They offered to run a trace anyway. A couple hours later, the status on TD's site said returned/exchanged. I called again and they said something about UPS having a problem (the company, not the product) and the order was shipped out again. This time, the tracking site started updating normally and it got here in two days. Maybe I should ding TD for messing this one up and delaying it for two days, but then maybe it really was UPS's fault . And the fact still remains that I got a very low price and the product was new and in perfect condition.

What I don't understand is why it costs more to ship two of these in a single order than in two separate orders.

I called him though he wasn't to work yet but he did contact me immediately upon arriving to work to follow up. Just what I would expect from Tiger Direct. Still one of the top online merchants. CommentMy initial order was through Amazon.com for 2-512MB memory chips. When my order arrived there was only 1 in the box. I then called TigerDirect explained the problem and had to reorder another memory chip which arrived very quickly. A credit was issued for the memory chip I did not receive which had to go through Amazon.com since I ordered through them. The credit I received was for half the price. After getting the run around I finally called TigerDirect and got Steve Ext. 5833 and he got my full credit fast. So if you have any problems call Steve for excellent service.

CommentTiger direct has been wonderful for the last 5 years, I have purchased many systems for customers and mayself. The last system I ordered came with a defective DVD on it I was unable to get in contact with the manufacturers customer support to get a replacement. On the first try to Tiger customer the very helpful Carlos had a new DVD player on the way and left me with a great feeling about dewaling with them. I have recommended many to tiger for their tech purchases but this solidifies my feelings and I just ordered a new system for myself from them today. With customer support personel like Carlos, Tiger direct will be around for a long time and gives you confidence in puchasing through them.

CommentI have been trying to resolve a rebate issue since April 2008.I am through with Tiger Direct unless this is resolved.This is the e-mail I sent to Elizabeth Hernandez on 7-16-2008.I have not heard back from her.

I purchased a Sceptre 20" monitor in January 2008 that had a $50.00 rebate.I received the monitor and submitted the rebate on 1-7-2008.The order number is W199212601014,the rebate claim number is 43728147.The monitor quit working on 1-16-2008.I contacted your customer service and Alexandra was the contact person.She told me to return it and gave me the RMA #2935537.I didn't want to be without a monitor while the replacement was was being processed so Alexandra told me I could order another monitor and when the replacement process went through they would credit my account for the purchase and that would take care of the replacement.All this occurred with no problem.I asked her if this would affect the rebate and she said it would not.When I had not received the rebate by 6-16-2008 I called the rebate center and they told me it had been denied because the monitor was returned and to call customer service.I called customer service and talked to Carlos.He told me I had to get a denial form from the rebate center. I called the rebate center and talked to Mary.She said she would do whatever it took to get it resolved,I did not need a denial letter.After a month and no rebate I called the rebate center yesterday 7-15-2008 and was told by someone else that they could not help me.I am through getting the run around .I hope you can get this resolved.Donnie

CommentToday I called customer service and was fortunate to get Muneera Lakhani, ext. 5411. She helped me untangle several problems I had with my previous orders and the correct RA#s for the return of a damaged tower case and lost (and later found)computer parts. She never lost patience with me and when her service was completed, I felt I was a valued customer with resolved issues. I could have just returned everything and gone to Wal Mart for a Dell system, but for her help.
Keep her! She rates as tops in my estimation.

CommentWas sold entertainment product Nintendo Wii package with games. Product ordered was never fully shipped. One item (Wii game LEGO INDIANA JONES: WII) was stated to ship within 24 hours per http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=LA10-1014.

Waited for two weeks and, per their customer service, was asked to wait a third for shipping. The 3rd week elapsed, and nothing shipped per website status. Finally called company and cancelled remainder of order.

Current status:
Remainder of order cancelled. Parts received have been paid for.

Complaint:
Untruthful advertising tactics, which I believe to be illegal: "Ships within 24 Hours" should not translate to 3+ weeks.
Untruthful support personnel: Called customer service after two weeks (escessive time), and told product would ship during 3rd week (more excessive). This did not happen.

CommentGreat site. Had a problem with a fried motherboard so I had to swap it. Ended up taking little to no time to get things resolved. Spoke with Jerry 5854 over the phone and in under 10min the issue was resolved and a replacement board was in the mail. Thanks again Jerry, I'm sure to use TigerDirect again for my future computer needs.

CommentI spoke Reggie, operator 5834, today, 7/17/2008 about a simple computer order that turned into a very involved problem regarding a printer and a notebook computer for my daughter's birthday. I do not want to get into the details of the problem, but Reggie was very understanding, and fully explained the process and what need to be done to correct a mistake that wa made by two previous sales people at Tiger. He then corrected the errors that were made, and it looks like My daughter will get her present, and Tiger has retained a fairly regular customer. I was very angry at the beginning of the call, and now am a happy camper thanks to Reggie.

CommentThe order arrived promptly but the "new" computer was dead on arrival. The box appeared to have been opened before it was shipped because the long factory seal had been cut and taped over. I was offered free return and exchange but asked for and was promised a complete refund. I received refund for the computer and after several calls, I also received refund for the postage and handling. Staff was courteous and helpful.
