Tiger has always provided me with great service and the products have always lived up to the quality I expect. I exspect no less from this great deal.
I have ordered many products from this company in the past, and been happy, but lately their quality control and customer service have been going downhill. In the last few months, I've had several orders in which they either sent me the wrong item or one or more items were not functional upon arrival. Each time one of these has happened, it has been a fight to either get the correct item or get my money back. In one case they never did return my money, even though they acknowledged they had received the returned merchandise and I followed all of their instructions to the letter. After a month of getting the run around and no refund, I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. If you are feeling lucky, their prices are tempting; if you need quality service and support, look elsewhere.
I bought this Systemax and had it Built To Order. Specs, Systemax Ascent KMA3500 AMD2 socket, MSI K9N6SGM-V, AMD 64 X2 5000+ 2.6 DUAL CORE, 3MB DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ, 320GB 7200RPM 3G SATA HDD, GEFORCE 8400GS 256MB PCI-E, 500 WATT TOWER. Running Vista Business , I use it in an office environment where I manage a retail store. I run Microsoft Office 2007 Pro, Quickbooks 2009 now thanks to the slave you become to QB once you start using it, and QB Payroll, for any digital artwork, I use The Gimp 2.6. <-The best freeware app I have ever seen-> which lets me exchange artwork with the professionals using Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop. And the Gimp does an amazing job keeping up. I have not had the first hiccup out of it since day one. It does sound like a hurricane when I start to Burn a disc, but I got a cheap 500 watt ps, because you can never have too much power in the years to come. The computer does a great job. I will probably do the same when I upgrade the other 5 computers I have to take care of unless I see a better Open Box item apper on Tiger Direct.
I ordered a computer ATX full tower case 12/19/08 and as of 12/27/08 have yet to receive it. I received a email confirmation that it was billed, shipped, and even got my tracking number. Guess what called UPS and was told TigerDirect still hadnt shipped them the product for delivery....WHAT???!!!! Called (12-27-08) TigerDirect spoke to Chris, Bernard, and a Steve(if these are their real names) each time was on hold for 25+ MINUTES THEN HUNG UP ON!!! This is the second time I have dealt with TigerDirect and IT WILL BE MY LAST!!!! I will also be filing a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!! How they ever got the "BBB's" seal of approval I don't know. If your smart DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT DELIVER YOUR PRODUCT!!! Go with their competitors instead. This company IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! Know wonder why this company has not made "EliteMember" status on resellerratings!!!
One of my favorite stores. Hard to beat when they are having a sale.
I love Tiger Direct. They definitely walk the talk and do the things they say they will. Their website is easy to navigate, customer service is great and delivery is usually sooner then the estimate.
Tiger Direct is a computer and electronics shoppers dream. I have found everything I have gone to their site to purchase and at great prices! They have great customer service and order processing and shipping is fast. I would like to see more free shipping specials but other than that they are a great store!
Poor communication. I placed an order and received a confirmation email. Then that's it. The next day, I checked my order status on their website and found the order was on hold. I called the company and was told that I should call the credit department. There is a hold from that department. I'll call them tomorrow when it's open, but it's not acceptable that a store with this high ranking does not update its customers with the order status. If I hadn't checked the status online, I wouldn't know how long they would hold my order. I'll see what will happen and update the review.
