| What are the strengths? |
I love all the storage and layout of the refrigerator. The deli drawer is my favorite! It pulls out without hitting the doors, and is so large I can find anything I have stored there. I also like the fact that I can keep it cooler than the rest of the fridge so my meat will stay fresh longer. There is not any wasted space in the doors. There is a shelf in every open spot. I have so much extra space now in this refrigerator compared to my old side-by-side. It uses a new technology with narrower side widths that adds over 3 square feet. I also love the chilled water and ice dispenser through the door. I also love the LED lighting-it lights up everything, including inside the crisper an deli drawers. (the lights are in the back of the fridge in that area) And they brighten slowly so you're not blinded when you open it at nightime. They also shut off after you leave the door open for more than a few minutes so they won't heat the fridge up. They have definitely thought of everything. The freezer also has ample space for everything, including large pizzas. I used to keep most of my freezer items in the garage in my freezer, but now I have lots of room to keep them inside. I shopped for over 6 months to find the perfect french door fridge, and this was the only one that had every option that I wanted, and was organized the way I wanted. I was hesitant about the Samsung brand, since I'm not used to their making refrigerators, and I heard that repairs were hard to come by, so i bought this at HHGregg and bought an extended warranty in which HHGregg would do the repairs. I called Samsung's tech support on the keypad, which I was confused about (which later I found the answers in the manual, had I taken the time to read it), and both times I was on hold for less than a minute, and they answered both questions quickly and even gave me more hints about how things worked that I might have problems figuring out. I also like the fact that I can push a button and see what the temp is in the fridge and the freezer (there is separate cooling for each), and it will tell me when I need to change the water filter. |
